Abstract

The design of logistics networks is a fundamental strategic decision in the management of supply chains, being of great complexity. This paper presents a mathematical model that considers reverse flow, both to the plant and to the disposal centers, and introduces technical assistance as a new entrant to the network. Technical assistance plays the role of performing simple repairs and resending products to retail, which adds new flows to the network and increases its complexity. 15 instances of different sizes were evaluated, using an exact technique with the CPLEX commercial solver. For all instances, it was possible to achieve the optimal solution, proving the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed model.
