Abstract

The aerospace industry is constantly striving for innovation and operational efficiency of large-scale transportation. University participation in AeroDesign competitions stimulates the development of new technologies and qualified training. In this scenario, the choice of wing profile directly influences the aircraft's performance. The purpose of this study is to develop a multicriteria model to prioritize the wing profiles of a model airplane for a university team in the interior of Ceará, using the PROMETHEE II multicriteria method. The application resulted in a complete ordering among the alternatives, in which the analysis of results and the analysis of sensitivity indicated the FX 63-137 profile as the most appropriate option. Therefore, it is concluded that the application of the proposed approach in the decision making on the wing profile contributed to assist in the aerodynamic efficiency and structural feasibility of the aircraft.
