STRUCTURING THE URBAN MOBILITY PROBLEM FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE WATER-ENERGY-FOOD NEXUS USING THE VFT METHOD

Society is dependent on the synergy of several systems, essential for economic development and social cohesion, as the regular attendance of the needs of individuals, goods, inputs and energy for industry, commerce and residences, must be accompanied by a concern for sustainability, in a perennial way. In this scenario, this article presents the use of VFT (Value-Focused Thinking) for structuring the urban mobility problem under the concept of Water-Energy-Food Nexus, an integrated approach to the three essential resources for human life and sustainability. Through the methodology, the values of the stakeholders are identified, these are transformed into objectives and analyzed through a Network of Means-End Objectives, as well as actions to solve the problem. As a result, through PO Soft, it was possible to structure the decision, identifying values, objectives and actions for the effectiveness of urban mobility, respecting Nexo.
