The Decision Support System for Doctorates and Master's Degrees (SAD-DM) consists of a proof of concept developed to support the prioritization of Stricto Sensu courses required by the Sectoral Management Bodies (ODS) of the Brazilian Navy (MB). The tool adopts a hybrid approach based on Operations Research (OP) techniques, integrating multicriteria decision support and optimization methods to make the decision-making process more efficient and adherent to the needs of MB. The definition of the priority of the courses represents a strategic and complex activity, involving multiple criteria and different organizational interests. In this context, the Navy Graduate Institute (INPG), in partnership with the Center for Naval Systems Analysis (CASNAV), developed the SAD-DM with the objective of improving the transparency and quality of decisions. The SDGs participated directly in the definition of the evaluation criteria and the attribution of the respective weights of importance.
