The teaching of literature is fundamental to stimulate the critical analysis of society. The proper selection of works, therefore, enhances this educational impact. Therefore, in order to improve didactic issues, it is necessary to improve the choice of materials. Thus, this study presents a multicriteria model, applied in a school in Caruaru-PE, which establishes the prioritization of books through the FITradeoff method. For structuring, the Value-Focused Thinking approach was used, integrating the stakeholders' perspectives. Eight works were analyzed, resulting in a complete order, in which "Capitães da Areia" was the most appropriate. In addition, the sensitivity analysis evidenced the robustness of the results in the face of inaccuracies in the input data. The model contributes to making the decision-making process more integrated, with the potential to stimulate student engagement through more contextualized choices. It should be noted that the model does not constitute a value judgment on the merit of the works, but rather on their adequacy to the analyzed context.
