The accelerated growth in the consumption of electrical and electronic devices has intensified the generation of electrical and electronic waste (REE) in Brazil. In Manaus, the problem is aggravated by the poor distribution of collection points and improper disposal. This work proposes the development of a mathematical model to optimize the location of these points, using Operations Research techniques, based on the Facility Location Problem (FLP) and clustering algorithms. The survey has a quantitative and applied approach, using population and household data from the IBGE (2022), considering places such as shopping malls, squares, and commercial establishments. The model seeks to minimize the total distance traveled by the population, respecting restrictions such as coverage of urban areas, travel limit and feasibility of installation. It is expected to identify an optimal set of collection points that ensure wide urban coverage, contributing to the efficiency of reverse logistics and environmental sustainability.
