This research presents the procedures for an operational evaluation (AO) of a radiodata system for naval communications. The AO is one of the stages in the process of obtaining military means and systems. It is an essential step to seek knowledge about the optimized use of the medium (or in the prototype stage), providing quantifiers for monitoring its useful life. Consequently, it also warns of the need to replace or modernize equipment. The objective is, based on the data collected, to apply a specific statistical-mathematical methodology in order to obtain the measures of operational effectiveness (MEO), that is, the quantitative parameters that allow measuring (and evaluating) the tactical capabilities and their operational limitations. In this research, three MEOs were elaborated, and a total of twelve evaluation parameters. The interpretation of the results allowed a greater knowledge and optimization of the use of the system, pointing out requirements classified as low, medium and high performance.
