The systems dynamics approach has wide application in companies and in business management studies, however, occupational safety does not usually use these concepts to understand the processes of occurrence and solution/prevention of deviations from occupational safety, accidents at work, injuries and disabling and fatal injuries. This article proposes to apply this instrument in this strategic area of companies, developing a model using the system dynamics technique that allows qualifying the positive and negative contributors in these four different flows, using the Vensim® software. The methodology proved to be useful in addressing so many variables from a dynamic perspective by introducing new theoretical-instrumental possibilities that can be used in decision making to define actions and investments. The research approach of this work considered that a system dynamics model was an alternative computational tool that would enable a systemic and integrated understanding of the variables involved in the process, sharing the model with decision makers, showing that system dynamics provides a holistic view of the process presented.
