The accelerated expansion of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in administrative sectors such as finance, marketing, and human resources has changed the organizational processes and decision-making of professionals in the area. This change has intensified the demand for professionals capable of dealing with AI tools, making literacy in this topic essential, not only for technical careers, but also for fields related to business and management. In light of this, universities face the challenge of enhancing their curricula to equip students with skills that include analytical reasoning, ethical awareness, and the ability to interact with data-driven systems. Thus, this research has as its main objective to analyze the presence and maturity level of AI found in the curricula of undergraduate courses in the areas of Administration, Business and Management in universities around the world, through a curriculum mapping and the application of classification methods.
At first, to select universities, we use the Times Higher Education, which is a global ranking that organizes and scales the best educational institutions in the world through areas of knowledge. To carry out the analysis, the contents present in the curricula were classified into 5 dimensions: AI fundamentals, AI support tools, practical applications of AI, ethics in AI and non-related content This approach makes it possible to identify how knowledge and skills are distributed across disciplines, revealing gaps or redundancies
