Abstract

Poor diet can significantly compromise the health and cognitive performance of children and adolescents, directly reflecting on the learning process. In view of this, this work proposes the generation of nutritionally adequate and low-cost menus for adolescents aged 11 to 15 years enrolled in elementary schools in the state of Minas Gerais. To this end, an approach based on multiobjective optimization was investigated, comparing the performance of three evolutionary algorithms: NSGA-II (Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm- II), SPEA2 (Strength Pareto Evolutionary Algorithm 2) and IBEA (Indicator Based Evolutionary Algorithm) with an optimal strategy when using Epsilon-restricted.
