This paper presents and analyzes the application of the DEScrum framework, a hybrid approach that integrates Scrum principles into the lifecycle of Discrete Event Simulation (DES), aiming to reconcile analytical rigor and managerial flexibility in the development of simulation projects. The research adopts an applied approach with a predominantly explanatory character, incorporating normative elements, and was conducted through action research in an academic context, involving teams of researchers and structured into three Sprints corresponding to the classical DES stages: Conception, Implementation, and Analysis. The analysis of a representative case revealed improvements in the estimation process, greater alignment between planning and execution, and enhanced organization of activities throughout the Sprints. The results indicate that DEScrum supports incremental learning, reduces uncertainty, and enables continuous adaptation, contributing to the structured development of DES projects. Additionally, alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 9 (SDG 9) was observed, particularly regarding operational efficiency.
