COMBINED APPROACH BETWEEN VALUE-FOCUSED THINKING AND SAD FITRADEOFF TO SUPPORT DECISION MAKING IN ENVIRONMENTAL SURVEILLANCE IN THE CONTROL OF AEDES AEGYPTI IN RECIFE - PE

This study aims to propose a decision support approach for controlling the Aedes aegypti vector in the context of environmental surveillance in the city of Recife. The proposal integrates Value-Focused Thinking, understood as a Problem Structuring Method, and the FITradeoff method, in order to structure the problem and support the classification of alternatives. VFT is used to organize decision values and objectives, while FITradeoff enables the allocation of alternatives into predefined classes. In this context, the integrated application of these approaches in dengue environmental surveillance remains underexplored. Therefore, this study investigates the combined use of these methodologies to support the definition of priorities in vector control actions, through structured meetings with decision makers, aiming at building the decision model and classifying the alternatives.
