Abstract

This work addresses the validation of dynamic models in the SIN from the perspective of area segmentation and observability provided by synchrophasor measurements. The proposal uses SDH to impose, at the boundaries of the subsystem studied, boundary conditions derived from PMUs, reducing uncertainties associated with the modeling of the external network and allowing to evaluate the adherence between simulated and measured responses. The problem is formulated as the definition of viable electrical cutouts under observability constraints, in order to preserve the dominant dynamics of the analyzed phenomenon. As a case study, the Acre-Rondônia interconnection is considered, with segmentation by the Samuel-Ariquemes circuits and analysis of a real SIN event associated with the shutdown of UG01 of the Marlim Azul TPP. With the increase in the availability of PMUs in the Brazilian SIN, new applications, such as the online validation of dynamic models, become viable, reinforcing the importance of this process for planning and operation in the electricity system.
