Abstract

The search for an impartial model, which promotes a more equitable distribution, in the allocation of public resources is of paramount importance for the efficient management of the public sector. The objective of this study was to compare the results obtained from a multicriteria model, from the perspective of multiobjective optimization. Two methods were used: Weighted Sum and Restricted ε. A total of 155 procurement alternatives of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) were considered,  distributed in 8 areas, using their budget constraints and the areas served. The results of the multiobjective formulation showed a minimum of 80 projects (R$ 66,727,245.11) with a score of 18.656 up to a maximum of 146 projects (R$ 88,134,677.33) with a score of 1.967. These results indicate that the proposed approach is capable of providing alternatives for a more equitable procurement model in the allocation of public resources.
