This article discusses how platformization and algorithmic regimes reconfigure the communication work of Brazilian unions. The discussion is theoretical and written from the implicated position, after five years of the author's work as a journalist in the area. Concepts of mediatization are articulated (Hjarvard; Braga), platformization (Poell; Nieborg; Van Dijck) and algorithms as visibility devices (Gillespie) to what communication and work research has recorded on the conditions of platformized journalism (Barros et al.; Nicoletti; Figaro; Kalsing). The assumption is made that the requirements of the continuous publication regime and algorithmic criteria, aggravated by the crisis resulting from the 2017 Labor Reform, would result in a co-production model, in which union leaders assume registration and selection functions previously attributed to journalists. An empirical agenda of interviews with these actors is proposed.
