This article analyzed what are the most frequent news values of solutions journalism (SJ). We examined 81 information units of seven Brazilian products that self-declare themselves as active in solutions journalism, either in the editorial line or with a dedicated section/editorial. The methodological insertion is quantitative and qualitative of each of the information units. The theoretical foundation has two major axes: the literature review of Solution Journalism with emphasis on the definition of the SJN and the concepts of the 10 most cited authors (Ostgaard, 1965; Galtung and Ruge, 1965; Staab, 1990; Bell, 1991; Schulz, 1982; Harcup and O'Neill, 2001; Richardson, 2004; Kepplinger and Ehmig, 2006; Eilders, 2006; Schultz, 2007; Weber, 2014 and Bednarek and Caple, 2017), known from the state-of-the-art study of news-values carried out last year (Seixas, Molina, Nunes, 2025). We argue that all information units have four frequent or fundamental news factors: conflict, consonance, significance and positivity.
