Abstract

In this work, we seek to understand the potentiality of humanized narratives for the construction of meanings and production of meanings in news in the international section. To this end, four reports published by the independent journalism outlet Agência Pública, in a special series on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, were adopted as the corpus of analysis. In addition, to analyze the narrative choices adopted in the reports, we used as a methodology the Pragmatic Analysis of the Journalistic Narrative proposed by Luiz Gonzaga Motta (2016), specifically, the movement entitled as communicative strategies, classified between objectification and subjectivation strategies. Thus, it became possible to identify the meanings generated by the authorial choices in the narrative.
