This coordinate, called "Narrative journalism, subjects and testimonies", aims to reflect on current journalistic productions from a perspective that glimpses subjectivity in the process of constructing narratives that take into account the presence of subjects in all phases of this configuration process. The works presented seek to deepen the dimension of subjectivities and incisive criticism of some consolidated principles of journalism. The analysis of the productions in the area, whether those of the so-called mainstream journalism or those of diversified aesthetic narrative experiences, represents an important resource for the production of diagnoses and prognoses of the field.
The articles problematize and reflect the ways of reporting life stories, of oneself and the production of meanings engendered by the construction of the narrative about the other, considering the social diversity existing in society today. They also problematize the notion of testimony in journalism, previously associated especially with the concrete presence in the space of the event. It is important to consider that testimonial journalism was expanded from the intense process of mediatization and the performance of professionals in the area in the most diverse printed, sound, audiovisual and digital productions. The works also observe the reconfiguration of narrative voices in the mediatized society, the relationship between agenda, sources and narrative. The articles presented here tension concepts, conceptions, practices, languages and perspectives that situate the narratives in their most varied dimensions.
