The coordinated session of Renami entitled Mediatization and Narratives proposes to observe the affectations that the processuality of mediatization causes in journalistic narratives. The "mediatized" condition, thought of from the perspective of journalism studies; in it, of narratives, presupposes, a priori, that these, once affected by the processuality of mediatization; therefore, reconfigured, they become more complex, which requires a specific grammar of recognition. Therefore, in this session, we seek to understand in essence the nature of this complexification, of the axiom according to which the devices through which mediatization is established are affected by its processuality, which interferes in its offers of meaning. In this scenario, analytical categories such as "mediatized narratives", "mediatized narrator", "mediatization of images", "fourth narrator", "dissonant narratives", "contrast effects" and others emerge. Circulation, thought of here as a place of transformation rather than a point of passage between the poles of emission/production and reception/recognition, is the analytical scenario where these reconfigurations are analyzed. Therefore, the coordinated session is distanced, in line with the nature of the object of analysis, from analytical matrices of functionalist hue and moves towards complex scenarios, which also requires methodological support based, qualitatively, on the indicative analysis of discursive clues left on the surface of the reports, at the risk of not adequately apprehending the object
