Abstract

The article investigates how ethical principles and transparency indicators on the use of artificial intelligence in journalism can be translated into contextual interface mechanisms. Through comparative documentary analysis of The Trust Project, the News Atlas, and governance and labeling guidelines, it proposes a contextual transparency model that articulates reputation, editorial standards, and user experience at four levels: immediate identification, brief explanation, provenance panel, and institutional policy. It is concluded that labels should inform purpose, extent, human oversight and editorial responsibility, and that design does not produce credibility or guarantee trust, but can make the conditions of production visible, intelligible and open to challenge.
