Abstract

In this article, we are interested in investigating the way in which the phenomenon of lesbocide has been approached in the area of communication and, more specifically, journalism. The exploratory movement of the article follows the logic of a funnel, starting from surveys on a more general basis and going towards a delimitation of the field of communication and, later, of journalism. We seek to understand what approaches the authors have resorted to to address the problem of lesbocide. As a result, we note that a large part of the works is based on discussions about necropolitics, with emphasis on intersectional and decolonial studies. In addition, with regard to communication and journalism, we note a considerable gap in studies.
