Abstract

The work presents a reflection on journalistic credibility, based on the discussions of the project "Journalistic Credibility Index: formulation of indicators to strengthen journalism to combat disinformation ecosystems" (Christofoletti, 2024), tensioned from the discussions on informalization (Wouters, 2012) and its approximations with journalism (Dufour, Gilliotte, 2024) and the processes of celebrization that can point to the configuration of credibility as a personalized value (Coutinho, 2024), based on the expansion and diversification of the presence and performance of professionals on digital social media platforms. Of an exploratory nature, the narrative literature review research proposes to reflect on the paths of the professional performance of journalism in the contemporary context.
