Abstract

Comics have been the object of journalistic analysis and dissemination for decades, although there is still a gap in studies specifically focused on the forms of their coverage by the press. This article presents an exploratory typology of journalistic coverage of comics in Brazil, considering its transformations between the written press and the digital environment. The research has a qualitative, documentary and historical character, with a survey of print and digital publications dedicated to the theme. The analysis considers three complementary axes - journalistic genre, format and purpose - and identifies recurrent forms of coverage. The results indicate regularity of journalistic forms in print and greater fluidity between information, opinion, criticism and dissemination in digital environments. The proposed typology seeks to contribute to the understanding of journalistic specialization.
