Anchored in Bakhtini's theory of discursive genres, the article analyzes UOL's ecosystem of 35 newsletters to verify whether they constitute a single genre or distinct generic arrangements. Through a literature review and mapping of 70 editions, three thematic categories are proposed: analytical-informative, informative curation and analytical curation. The results indicate that, although there is a relatively stable compositional base — e-mailing, seriality, sender-subscriber relationship — the genre admits strong internal variation in terms of thematic content, composition, and style.
