Abstract

This work is constructed as an experience report in order to contribute to the debate on the intersections between journalism, media education and information integrity. We present here some actions from the first two years of activity of the Tutorial Education Program (PET) UFF Journalism Network for Information Integrity (PET Jor UFF), which went into operation in November 2024, selected by MEC as one of the ten PETs of Information Integrity in Brazil. We organize debate cycles, actions outside the university, produce editorial projects and journalism on social networks to spread the concept of media education. Most of PET's actions are carried out through collaborative partnerships and listening to the needs of the agents with whom we interact. It is concluded that media education, together with the integrity of information, has the potential to renew the teaching and practice of journalism.
