Abstract

This article analyzes the work of the local correspondents of the Agencia Mural for Journalism of the Peripheries as an experience of journalistic production in a context marked by epistemic disputes, informational crisis, and asymmetries in the circulation of knowledge. The study dialogues with debates on scientific dissemination and mobilizes the notion of epistemic sovereignty to investigate how reports on environmental issues articulate scientific and local knowledge in peripheral territories of the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo. A qualitative thematic analysis was carried out of eight environmental reports published in December 2025 signed by local correspondents. The results allow us to propose a typology composed of five arrangements of articulation between institutional science and territorial experience: reinforcement, appropriation, technical decision, scientific centrality and scientific absence.
