Abstract

With the discovery of nanoparticles, biotechnological products containing silver(0) have been used for a wide variety of purposes, such as fighting bacteria, fungi, and viruses, treating wounds, burns, infections and for use in medical and hospital materials that affect varieties of pathogens. Understanding the interactions of these particles in biological systems is essential for the development of safe and effective applications. The synthesis of biogenic silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using plant extracts is a clean, cheap, quick and one-pot method. There are many advantages of this method, such as exploring plants'
biomolecules that reduce Ag(I) ions and adhere to the surface AgNP nanoparticles. In this project, biophysics applied to silver nanoparticles seeks to understand how these particles interact with biological components, such as Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria.
