WELCOME TO THE 20th NMR USERS MEETING

This 20th Meeting will present new advances in the different areas of application of NMR, including all theoretical and experimental aspects of this technique, such as its applications in the study of natural products, pharmaceuticals, food, biomolecules, polymers and catalysts, as well as research in the areas of petroleum and petrochemistry, biofuels, materials science, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, theoretical chemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, biochemistry, physics, physiology, geology and medicine. Other Magnetic Resonance techniques will also be covered at the event, such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Multinuclear Magnetic Resonance, Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (continuous and pulsed wave applications), Electron-Nuclear Double Resonance, Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance and Mössbauer Spectroscopy.

The event will bring together professors and researchers, expert users of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) in Brazil and Latin America (both from industry and academia), as well as post-doctorates and graduate and undergraduate students interested in the technique. The event will be attended by approximately 200 participants, including chemists, physicists, biophysicists, biochemists, biologists, pharmacists, geologists, researchers and technicians from industry and suppliers of equipment, accessories and supplies necessary for NMR.

It is clear that the dissemination, understanding and use of NMR techniques are essential for the technological development of the country. This is, therefore, an excellent opportunity for the exchange of ideas and experiences, as well as a space for fostering cooperation among all those involved in this important area of science.
