Abstract

There has been a great interest in the last years to the development of polymeric materials from renewable resources that can fit to the concepts of green chemistry, bioeconomy, circularity and sustainability. In this lecture, it will be shown the approaches that we have been investiganting using polyelectrolytes from renewable resources for applications in biodegradable packagings, edible films, controlled release of fertilizers and pharmaceuticals and in sensors for water and beverages control.
