The International Conference on Geographies of Children, Youth and Families is an event sponsored by the Geographies of Children, Youth and Families Research Group (GCYFRG), a research group which integrates the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) (RGS-IBG), and aims to increase the profile, perceived value and understanding of the geographies of children, young people and their families within academic geography and beyond.
The geographies of children, youth and families have a lesser-established but nonetheless rapidly growing academic reputation within Brazil. We believe that this event has great potential to bring together Brazilian researchers and academics from across the world who may be already recognised for their contributions to the theme of the conference. With this in mind, we aim to contribute significantly to academic development and to innovation in geographic research and research on childhood, youth and families, stimulating debate and developing critical debate with global scope.
Preserve the memory of the conference and increase the reach of the scientific knowledge is the reason why Galoá Proceedings was created.
