Transcriptomic analysis reveals the gene signature in endometriosis disease

Endometriosis is a chronic disease, a growing problem in public health, which affects approximately 10% to 15% of the female population of childbearing age. Characterized by the presence of endometrial cells outside the uterine cavity, the symptoms vary according to the degree of the disease (superficial, ovarian and deep), and may even be asymptomatic, but chronic pain and infertility are the main outcomes. The pathology is difficult to resolve, painful (physically, mentally and emotionally), complex, multifactorial (where genetic alterations and environmental factors contribute to the development, making an assertive prognosis difficult), the drugs used do not prevent the development of endometriosis and even after surgeries, it can develop again.
