Vulnerability and Protective Factors for PTSD Among Academic Communities in the COVID-19 Context

The COVID-19 pandemic has posed numerous challenges for the academic community such as social distancing, economic instability, and abrupt change to remote learning/working environments. Additionally, people were exposed to potentially traumatic events related to COVID-19 like the death or risk of death of family members, being contaminated or infecting someone close. One possible consequence of trauma exposure is the development of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). However, only a portion of exposed people develop the disorder.
