UFF nas Escolas project: deconstructing stereotypes to lighten implicit bias and stereotype threat, and reducing the gap between public schools, university and science.

For a long period of time, the University remained distant from the most vulnerable population. In the last few years, the discredit of scientific knowledge and about the importance of the public University escalated exponentially. So, the project “UFF nas Escolas” (UFF in the schools) appears with the objective of breaking down the barriers between science and society, with a work focused on the new generations, encouraging the choice of university, the presentation of everyday themes with a scientific information and workshops within schools with the diversity of areas are some of the activities carried out by the project.
