TELOMERASE INHIBITION IN HUMAN NEUROSPHERES AS A MODEL FOR AGING STUDIES

Developing new drugs for neurodegenerative diseases faces many limitations, including the absence of suitable models for modeling human nervous system aging. Thus, this study aimed to develop an in vitro 3D model using human cells to mimic central nervous system aging. To achieve this, accelerated telomere shortening was induced by pharmacological inhibition of telomerase in neurospheres.
