Resumo

Myocardial infarction (MI) is a severe clinical condition involving inflammatory processes and oxidative stress. Oxidative stress occurs due to the action of reactive oxygen species (ROS) or free radicals, such as O2-, H2O2, and OH-, which exert toxic effects on cells. Vascular reactivity in the aorta following MI plays a crucial role in subsequent cardiovascular complications. Functional and vascular wall changes resulting from MI can lead to endothelial dysfunction and compromise vascular response.
