LEARN BY DOING: PRODUCTION NEUROANATOMICAL MODELS AS A TOOL FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING IN FUNCTIONAL NEUROANATOMY

Functional Neuroanatomy plays an essential role in the curriculum of Health Sciences courses, especially in Physiotherapy courses, as it prepares students to understand the anatomical and physiological basis, both in the clinical area and in research, providing a basic intuitive perception of the diseases that affect the nervous system. However, the study of Functional Neuroanatomy has been a great challenge for these students, due to the scarcity of cadaveric pieces that help in understanding the structures and functioning of the Nervous System. The neuroanatomic pieces available in teaching institutions are often insufficient, leaving it to professors and academics to think of new actions that facilitate the teaching and learning process of the practical part of the discipline.
