HOW WAS THE NATIONAL BRAIN WEEK AT IS IFSC, GASPAR CAMPUS

The reflections led by neuroscientific studies have become increasingly emerging within the school environment, both because it promotes the understanding of the cognitive aspects that involve learning, and to think of solutions and strategies that give a new meaning to the act of teaching. Therefore, the National Brain Week, which aims to disseminate neuroscience studies, has gained space in educational institutions since 2012. Therefore, the event was held in an unprecedented way in the current year of 2023 by IFSC Campus Gaspar, supported by the Educational Accessibility Nucleus (NAE), in view of the concern with relevant themes for the teaching and learning processes such as: mental health, cognition, resilience, building knowledge throughout life and active aging, these themes are valuable to the internal and external public that the campus serves, especially in the post-pandemic scenario. In this sense, the institutional interest in promoting the event was to disseminate the contributions that neuroscience can bring on the aforementioned themes to basic education teachers - assisted in our continuing education processes; seniors - assisted through our teaching, research and extension projects; and adolescent students - linked to our integrated technical courses. In addition to the lectures that had an educational bias, the event promoted workshops and disseminated bibliographical references on neuroscience in our social networks.
