From Doubts to Knowledge about the Brain: Experiences at the National Brain Week in Goiatuba

Located in southern Goiás, Goiatuba has an approximate population of 34,000 inhabitants and has been home to the Medicine program at Goiatuba University Center - UniCerrado since 2018. The presence of undergrad students and professors has fostered the incipient dissemination of scientific knowledge in healthcare to the population. Interested in the initiative of the International Brain Awareness Week, we held in-person events for the first time in the city of Goiatuba - GO, after the COVID-19 pandemic. Events were held at UniCerrado aiming to promote brain knowledge to nearly 2,500 students from 16 undergraduate programs, faculty, staff, and general public who frequent the institution.
