EVALUATION OF THE SECOND-DEGREE BURNS PROCESS IN ANIMAL MODELS INDUCED BY NATURAL RUBBER AND COPAIBA MEMBRANE

Burn injuries represent a public health problem leading to body tissue damage causing cell death. The healing process involves a cascade of cellular, molecular, and biochemical events. To date, there is no standard dressing for the treatment of this type of injury. Thus, a dressing that favors the healing process was developed from a natural rubber membrane associated with Copaiba obongifolia (copaiba) extract. Previous studies indicate that both act by inhibiting inflammatory processes acting as healing agents.
