Wound healing is a dynamic process, which involves a series of coordinated events with multiple levels of complexity, aiming to restore local tissue integrity. The amniotic membrane (AM) has recently been used as a support for the transfer of cells to wounds because it has important characteristics such as promoting reepithelialization, presenting antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, inhibiting fibrosis, and presenting resistance. Research indicates that hyaluronic acid (HA) can stimulate the development of fibrin, phagocytic activity, the mobility of neutrophils, macrophages, and the migration of fibroblasts.
