Effect of endocrine disrupting-chemicals bisphenol A and S on human thyroid cell lines

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a monomer used for the synthesis of polycarbonate plastics that is ubiquitously found in the environment, contaminating food and drink. Bisphenol S (BPS) is chemically similar to BPA and was developed to replace BPA in BPA-free products. Data regarding the effect of these bisphenols, especially BPS, on thyroid cancer are still scarce.
