Resumo

Ischemic stroke represents a significant global health burden and is a leading cause of mortality. It is characterized by temporary or permanent occlusion of a cerebral artery, resulting in hypoxia and triggering a cascade of biochemical processes that disrupt the neuronal environment and lead to functional impairment. The transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) is a potential noninvasive therapeutic tool capable of modulating cellular activity, thereby promoting functional improvement.
