BEHAVYTHON: Integrating state of the art AI software and behavioral data from animal models into a user-friendly analysis tool.

Understanding and assessing animal behavior is crucial for understanding cognitive brain functions. However the growing size of data generated from behavior analysis poses a threat to the conventional analysis where human annotators watch and infer the desired behavior. The advent of markerless pose estimation tools such as deeplabcut came as an aid to extract nuances that are not immediately apparent to the experimenter, yielding a more comprehensive dataset and, thus enabling a more in depth analysis and inference/pairing of the behavior output. Yet, To achieve this, acquiring, processing, and distilling behavioral data into useful metrics is still necessary for efficient and accurate behavior description.
