Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a public health problem in the world, in which the patient`s survival rate has not increased in recent years. Therefore, the need to search for new treatments is very important. In traditional medicine, many plants, such as those of the Piper genus, are used in the treatment OSCC. Thus, isolated substances derived from these plants are often used as a base molecule for the synthesis of analogues, which may also have significant antitumor effects.
