Resumo

The treatment of bone metastasis as primary bone cancer itself is still a challenge. The use of radium dichloride (223Ra]RaCl2), an alpha radiopharmaceutical emitter, has stood out in recent years as one of the best treatment options for bone cancer, with special focus on bone metastases. However, its ability to emit short-range high-energy alpha particles confers short penetration, promoting localized cytotoxic effect with toxic toxic effects on healthy adjacent tissue. The use of therapeutic agents, duly loaded in nanomycells, has been widely used due to their property of controllable size and using, in the case of tumors, the EPR effect (Enhanced Permeability and Retention) it is possible to achieve the requested and increased accumulation at the site of the tumor. Thus, damage to other organs is noticeably reduced.
