Resumo

Viral infections of the brain are processes of the CNS that can result in significant morbidity and mortality and several viruses can be involved. Since almost 70% of viral encephalitis cases are left without an etiologic agent identified. In Brazil, the threat of viruses associate with CNS transmission within this environment continues to loom. Especially, CHIKV, DENV (1 to 4), SLEV, Measles, Mumps, Enterovirus (Echo 30), HSV-1, HSV-2, VZV, EBV, CMV, and HHV6. To solve this, there is an urgent need to develop an alternative method to bring diagnostics test that can be able to discover silent multiple viral agents from a single clinical sample.
