Objetivo: This study aims to find out what emotional states are generated by a Body Percussion (BP) practice at unusual context. Several objectives had to be met: (1) Design and implement a BP practice lasting approximately 30 minutes in an academic and research context; (2) Administer an instrument to collect the perception of the emotional states of the people who practice it; (3) Analyze the recorded data; (4) Describe the reality experienced by the participants. Métodos: This study follows a quantitative methodology. The population that participated in this study are teachers and professors in primary, secondary and higher education, mostly who attended the Congress of Educational Innovation in Physical Education that was held in Madrid, 2022. The final sample was 48 people (58% women), with an estimated age in different ranges, 31 – 40 years old (50%), 21 – 30 (31%), 41 – 50 (15%), 51 – 60 (2%) and over 61 (2%). They agreed to participate in the research voluntarily and anonymously. The Profile of Moods States questionnaire was administered after the intervention. Resultados: At the end, they felt encouraged, energetic, active, full of energy, fighters and vigorous, in this order, above 130 points. And showing very low values, of zero, close to zero and less than 10 points, of feeling depressed, unhappy, furious, bad-tempered, bitter, angry, sad, upset, helpless, irritable, angry and tense. Conclusão: A practical conference was prepared to break with the traditional unidirectional and static discourse where knowledge is shared without taking into account motor or emotional practice, indivisible aspects of our practices in the physical education subject; emotionally impactful to generate curiosity and inspiration, useful and transferable to generate significant learning that they could apply in their classrooms and with scientific foundations reported from the bibliography and, most importantly, from the experience lived by the participants themselves.
