EFFECTS OF EXTRACTION PARAMETERS ON OBTAINING PASSION FRUIT LEAF TINCTURE USING A PRESSURIZED LIQUID SOLVENT - INTERMITTENT PURGE PROCESS

Resumo

The objective of the work was to obtain the effects of temperature (°C), static time (min), solvent volume (rinse) (%) and number of cycles (C) in the intermittent solvent purging process in obtaining of passion fruit leaf tincture (Passiflora edulis Sims) with pressurized liquid. A 24-1 fractional factorial design was carried out with the addition of four central points, obtaining as a response the global yield of extracts and the yield in total phenolic. All the parameters studied had a statistically significant effect on the global yield, the maximum of which was 31.22%, however, the temperature and the solvent volume did not interfere in the total phenolic content whose composition varied from 34,71 ± 0,4 to 42,05 ± 2,0 mg GAE/ g of dry leaves.
