The validation of an alternative algorithm implemented in MS Excel is presented in this work in order to describe the behavior of supercritical fluid extraction kinetics of amazonian fruits using the spline model, employing two and three straight lines. A comparative evalutaion between the computational tool presented in this work and SAS for modeling deffatted açai pulp and cupuaçu seeds extraction kinetics. The algorithm in MS Excel presented in this work was able to model the studied kinetics as the same way as SAS software possessing similar reliability.
