Submission Rules

The submission of papers for CNMAC 2026 will take place from January 15, 2026 to March 16, 2026.

Submitted papers must strictly follow the templates available on this page. Papers submitted outside the formatting standards established for CNMAC 2026 will be automatically rejected by the Editorial Committee, without scientific merit review.

The Editorial Committee may, at its discretion, consult the authors’ Lattes CVs to verify information related to the presenter’s academic degree. Only papers whose authors are enrolled in at least an undergraduate program will be accepted.

For an accepted paper to be included in the event program, the presenting author (designated at submission) must pay the registration fee by July 24, 2026. Registration for CNMAC 2026 will open on April 3, 2026. Each registration fee allows the presentation of at most one paper per category (a maximum of two papers), in accordance with the restrictions on the Type of contributions.

Accepted and presented papers will be published in the Proceeding Series of the Brazilian Society of Computational and Applied Mathematics (Proceeding Series SBMAC). For this reason, by submitting and presenting a paper at the event, the author acknowledges that their work will be published by SBMAC and that copyright is tacitly transferred to the Society.

SBMAC events consider three (3) types of contributions:

  • Type A: Research at the undergraduate/initial scientific research level; the presenting author must be enrolled in an undergraduate program.

  • Type B: Ongoing research with partial results; the presenting author must be enrolled in a master’s program.

  • Type C: Original research with conclusive results; the presenting author must be enrolled in a doctoral program.

Depending on the Type of contribution, the paper must be submitted in only ONE of the following categories:

  • Category 1: Two-page abstract (Types A and B)

  • Category 2: Full paper (5 to 7 pages) (Type C)

The presentation formats for papers in SBMAC events are:

  1. Posters: Category 1

  2. Oral Presentation: Category 2
